100 supermarket jobs on offer at recruitment day
ONE hundred full-time, part-time and casual jobs will be on offer as a Sunshine Coast supermarket chain launches a recruitment drive to fill positions at its new store.
White's IGA will hold the recruitment day this Saturday from 10am at its new Baringa store.
Store owners Michael and Roz White said it was an opportunity to apply for jobs within different departments including grocery, delicatessen, produce, freezer/dairy and meat.
"This is going to be the largest of our five IGA stores on the Sunshine Coast so there's a good selection of positions on offer which will suit all sorts of people and the good news is that a number of positions available will not require any previous experience," Mrs White said.
"We want people who have the right attitude, enjoy interacting with customers and are achievement oriented, this is a great opportunity to become part of the wider White's IGA family.
"We are well known for looking after our staff because we've built a strong 'people first' culture and this is reflected in the fact that we have a number of staff who have been with us for over a decade.
"No appointments are necessary, all we want people to do is to bring along their resume and a covering letter and tell us why they would like to join our friendly and dynamic team when we open our brand new Supa IGA store in August this year."
Baringa will be the fifth IGA store the Whites own and operate.
Over the past decade their stores have won a number of industry awards and the latest store is expected to be an integral part of the growing Baringa community
