$36 Amazon item taking over Instagram
It can be a real struggle to find something worth bragging about in the weird and wonderful world of Amazon.
The world's biggest store stocks pretty much anything you can think of, from sequined pillows emblazoned with Nicolas Cage's actual face (we kid you not) to fridge decals that can transform your fridge.
But sometimes you stumble across something that's not only reasonably priced but is pretty useful too.
On Instagram, multiple Australian women are raving about a fashion find from Amazon - a blue satin midi skirt.
At just $60, savvy shoppers are snapping up this cheap satin midi skirt - and sharing their chic snaps wearing it online.
"I work in a corporate environment day to day and can style my skirt with a blazer or coat, then can easily take it from day to night with a pair of great heels and a change of lipstick," Instagram user Jenn Fluri told news.com.au
She also described the skirt as "silky blue goodness" on her social media channel.
Another Perth-based lover called it "gorgeous" - sharing a snap wearing it teamed with a pair of white pumps and a casual Gucci T-shirt with her 15,000 followers.
"A silky midi skirt is always my go-to for trans-seasonal dressing as I find it has plenty of styling versatility regardless of the weather or season," Beanna Catterick told news.com.au.
"I love pairing this skirt with a knit or a blazer and boots on colder days and styling it back with a logo tee and white sneakers on warmer days as we move into spring weather. The navy colour brings a sophisticated subtle pop of colour to my wardrobe."
Melbourne-based fashion blogger Crystelle Audette called the stylish find a "must have".
The response to the skirt - made exclusively by Australian brand Lioness for the e-tailer - has been huge, with Amazon Fashion Australia creative director Ella Lymbereas telling news.com.au people are loving it because it mixes style with affordability.
"Amazon Fashion partnered with Lioness to create a skirt with the Australian customer in mind - a high-waisted, silk midi skirt in must-have python print. With a navy option also available, it's great to see people picking up on this trend, and we know customers across Australia are loving it too."
In the alternative animal print, the skirt costs just $36.30 and has a racy thigh slit. Both come in sizes XS-L.
Aussie fashion blogger Tina Abeysekara - who runs Trash To Treasured - previously told news.com.au the satin midi skirt's popularity was because it was so "versatile".
"A midi skirt is a wardrobe staple, so the trending satin version is the perfect blend of versatility and style," she said.

Oh, hey there 2019 👋🏾 Spent the day in $35 @cottonon skirt and $6 @kmartaus tee (it’s lasted so well in the wash!). Sandals are @spurrshoes from @theiconicau (super comfy!) Been a bit quiet on here while I madly finish wedding tasks (it’s next week 😳🤭) but I’m so keen to bring you more T2T this year! Thank you for all the support so far 💕 Happy New Year 😘.
"It's also one of those trends that will last for seasons to come thanks to its classic cut."
Here's how she said you can style yours: "I'll be wearing the satin midi with a blazer and boot combo for work and cozy knit and white sneakers for the weekend."
It's not the first time a budget fashion buy from Amazon has caused a stir on social media, with people going nuts over a pair of humble $14 tights earlier this year.
The super-soft, high-waisted tights, designed by label Satina, scored the title as the number one leggings in Australia, with a huge number of fans raving about them online.
The opaque tights come in 22 different colours and their high-waisted band reportedly hugs you in all the right places.
