UDIA teams up with council to promote region, investment

A NEW agreement between the Fraser Coast's Urban Development Institute of Australia body and the Fraser Coast Regional Council will focus on promoting the region and attracting investment.

UDIA Fraser Coast branch president Glen Winney said the new memorandum of understanding will formalise the relationship between the branch and council by focusing on making it open and constructive.

Mr Winney said the purpose of the new agreement was to advance planning and development throughout the region and getting the agreement in place was one of his top priorities when he took over as president.

"It's very pleasing to see it comes to life, due in no small part to the support from the Fraser Coast Regional Council," he said.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday night at an event that was attended by representatives from the council and from UDIA.
