Battle is on for the Cup

LEAGUE: The Waves and Isis will battle for the first piece of Bundaberg Rugby League A-Grade silverware this Saturday.

The sides will play for the Toyota Cup at Salter Oval after having the best two records in the competition after the first round of matches against the other sides in the BRL.

The Waves won six out of their seven matches, with Isis winning five.

The Devils were locked with the Wallaroos in wins but qualified with a better for and against.

The contest will not only decide who wins the Cup but will award points towards the BRL premiership standings.

The winner also breaks a long drought in title success.

The Waves haven't won a trophy since 2007, with Isis not claiming any titles in the BRL since moving from the Northern Districts Rugby League.

The game starts at 6.30pm.
