UPDATE: Power being restored to homes after crash
A patient has been transported in a stable condition after crashing into a power pole in Torquay on Saturday.
The person's age and gender was not known, a spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said.
The crash happened on Boundary Rd and left more than 2200 people in the surrounding area without power.
Work is being carried out by Ergon, with power yet to be restored to about 78 customers, according to the website.
Power remains out to 2,223 homes after a crash on Boundary Rd.
Ergon Energy does not yet have an estimated fix time.
Suburbs impacted are Torquay Woods, parts of Urangan and Wondunna.
A PATIENT is being assessed after a car crashed into a pole at Torquay.
The crash happened at Boundary Rd about 1.24pm.
Paramedics are still at the scene assessing one person after the crash.
It is understood power is out in parts of Urangan and Torquay as a result of crash.
Traffic diversions are in place.
