Brian, 75, set to step out in Bay Break walk

HE may be 75-years-old, but Brian Phillips from Bribie Island can't wait to take part in the inaugural Bay Break.

Mr Phillips, who will be the oldest competitor at the event, and his wife Narelle will both take part in the Bay Break, which will be held on the Esplanade on Saturday.

Mr Phillips will be completing the 5km walk, which will happen on Saturday morning while Mrs Phillips will take part in the 3km swimming event this afternoon.

"It's part of my daily exercise," Mr Phillips said.

The events will kick off from 6.30am today and will include running, walking and swimming categories for all ages.
