A-League: Alex Brosque certain to kick on
REGARDLESS of whether Sydney FC wins the championship or not, attacker Alex Brosque will wear a Sky Blue jersey next season.
The 31-year-old (pictured) is contracted for next season, but there were suggestions he may call it a day if his team claimed the title.
However, the ex-Socceroo attacker is in a rich vein of form and said he was not planning on retiring just yet.
The Sky Blues will need him to fire against Adelaide United in the second semi-final at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
"It was the one thing I thought about ... as a player you always want to end on a good note," Brosque said.
"But I've spoken to (coach Graham Arnold) and a few people and I'm committed to this club, I'm committed to honouring my contract, and I feel this season has been a good one."
Brosque added the competition's leading scorer Marc Janko is ready to explode, after four games without finding the back of the net.
