Busy intersection to get pedestrian makeover in Maryborough
WORK is set to start on an upgrade to give pedestrians better access at the Walker and Ferry streets intersection in Maryborough.
Member for Maryborough Bruce Saunders said work would start on Monday and continue to early April.
"The project involves upgrading the pedestrian ramps, pathways and crossings for improved access," he said.
"Traffic signal phasing will also be upgraded to provide a dedicated left turn arrow to motorists turning south-west from Walker St onto Ferry St."
Mr Saunders asked people to be patient during the upgrades.
Work will take place between 6am and 6pm for 10 days before workers take a four-day break.
