What: The Pier Park Community Markets operate each Saturday. You will find plenty of market stalls, fresh fruit, vegetables and much more.

EUREKA COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT

When: 1pm.

Where: QCWA Hall, Wharf St, Maryborough.

What: Go along for a fabulous day of great music and friendship. Lucky door prize, raffles, tombola and afternoon tea. Walk-ups welcome.

Cost: $5.

DANCE FOR RACQ LIFEFLIGHT

When: 7.30-11.30pm

What: Fun fundraising night, hosted by Maryborough Dance Group.

BURRUM HEADS MARKETS

When: 7-11am

Where: Burrum Heads Community Hall, corner Burrum Heads Rd and Howard St.

Details: Burrum Heads Markets with art, crafts, fruit and veg, bric-a-brac, antiques, plants, books and breakfast at the SES stall. Phone Neville on 41295948. Sites available.

TOMBOLA

When: Doors open 11.30am, start at 1pm.

Where: Pensioners Hall, Adelaide St, Maryborough.

Details: A West Football Club event, complete with an afternoon tea, light lunch and refreshments for sale.

SUNDAY

KOALA MARKETS

When: 6am-noon.

Where: Kruger Court, Booral Rd, Urangan.

What: There are many bargains to be found at these iconic Hervey Bay markets. There is an abundance of stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables, bric-a-brac and more.

Z-PAC COUNTRY, ROCK AND BLUES CLUB

When: From 6pm.

Where: Z-PAC Theatre, Zephyr St, Scarness.

What: Air-conditioned, bar facilities, snacks for sale. Open to all performers, no matter what your level of musicianship or singing ability. Phone 0419654560 for details.

WALK WITH RAMBLERS

Where: Meet at Quota Park, Urangan.

WORLDWIDE SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY

When: Sunday, September 10, from 5am.

Where: Apex Park to Scarness Park.

What: Make a difference in preventing suicide by participating in Lifeline's Out of the Shadows - national suicide prevention walks that will be held on World Suicide Prevention Day.

The Fraser Coast walk will be held at 5am (5.15am walk) from Apex Park on the Hervey Bay Esplanade to the Scarness Pier where a Suicide Awareness and Mental Health Expo will he held from 7am to 2pm.
