Dancers dazzle the judges at eisteddfod
TALENTED young dancers have sparkled and impressed at the Maryborough Dance Eisteddfod.
After three days of ripper routines at the Brolga Theatre the competition finished on Monday.
Eisteddfod president Irene Smith said the event had been a resounding success.
“We’ve had around 450 competitors and a great audience response,” she said.
“We’ve been well supported by the schools in the area, both primary and secondary.”
Competitors have come from as far away as Caloundra to the south, Bundaberg to the north and Kilcoy to the west.
Ms Smith said entries would close on June 1 for the August Eisteddfod, which features instrumental, literary, speech and vocal categories.
