Driver blows double legal limit at morning RBT

A DRIVER blew double the legal blood alcohol limit at a RBT at 8.30am in the morning.

It's believed the 69-year-old man, who was driving a Toyota sedan, was drinking the night before he was pulled over, blowing 0.10%.

Hervey Bay Police Sergeant Paul Jervis said it was a reminder for motorists that police would be out in full force during the school holidays and it wasn't worth the risk.

The man, who was caught drink driving on Wednesday morning, will appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on January 11.

He was pulled over at an RTB site on Murphy St in Pt Vernon.
