Easter tourism remains strong despite a chance of rain
BOOKINGS for the Easter period remain strong despite the prediction of wet weather in the later part of the weekend.
Kingfisher Bay Resort spokeswoman Jodi Clark said visitors would flock to the island over Easter.
Kingfisher and Eurong Beach Resort will be busy but there are still spots available for the last minute holiday makers.
"The resorts are busy, we've got good bookings but there are still some vacancies at both resorts," she said.
"Our extra barge services are filling quickly so I urge people to book now to get the service they want."
The Hervey Bay caravan park have solid bookings but some sites still remain vacant.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Rick Threfall said the weekend would start fine but end wet.
"Good Friday is looking fine but from Saturday onwards there's a chance of a shower or two," he said.
