Fancy a pre-show dinner or cheese platter at the Brolga?

FOLLOWING a successful three-month trial, the Brolga Theatre is now offering guests the option of a pre-show dinner or delicious cheese and antipasto platter.

Councillor for cultural and performing arts Phil Truscott said theatre staff had received overwhelming support from customers during the trial period and the dinner and platter options were here to stay.

"This year's schedule of shows and performances is one of the best we've had since the theatre opened and the staff are continually looking for ways to improve their customer experiences," he said.

"This is just one of the ideas that they've introduced and it really gives our guests the complete theatre experience."

Fraser Coast resident Suzanne Fountain enjoyed a pre-show buffet dinner with her husband before watching the Searchers perform on Wednesday, February 12.

"The pre-show buffet was very enjoyable and the service was excellent," she said.

"We are certainly looking to come to more shows in the future."

Guests have the option of a pre-show buffet dinner, served with tea and coffee for $39.50 per person.

Dinner is served about one hour prior to the show and must be pre-booked.

Cheese and antipasto share platters are also available for all evening shows from $20, which serves two people, or $30, which serves four people.

Platters are available from the bar but must be pre-booked.

Cr Truscott said some Fraser Coast residents may not realise they can enjoy a world-class theatre experience in their own backyard.

"Upcoming shows include superstar flauist Jane Rutter, 70s rock legends The Sweet and a local production of Australia's favourite comedy - Cosi."
