Bay foreshore suffers extensive damage from the storm
HUNDREDS of people roamed the beaches of Hervey Bay on Monday morning and Sunday afternoon to see the damage from the storm.
The onlookers saw the devastation wrought by ex-cyclone Oswald, with fallen trees, heavy erosion and even a destroyed boat that snapped its moorings and washed up the beach in Torquay left in the wake of the storm.
Council workers were out beginning the clean up in some areas of the foreshore on Sunday afternoon and they were again cleaning up on Monday morning.
