Fraser Coast Chorus Group sings out for new members

EXCITEMENT is building for members of the Fraser Coast Chorus Group, as they ready themselves for a big year on stage.

Spokeswoman Jill Rylatt said a terrific year of choral performances was planned, starting with rehearsals on Monday, February 3.

"The chorus is looking forward to a year of learning new songs and welcoming new members," she said.

"So, if you would like to try something new this year, come along and join our friendly group."

The group sings in three and four-part harmony accompanied and A' Capella in a range of genres, including modern, pop, Broadway and sacred.

"You don't have to be able to read music, just share a love of singing," Ms Rylatt said.

Ms Rylatt said members of the chorus had varying degrees of vocal expertise, from beginners to advanced.

"But they are all united by their love of singing," she said.

The rehearsals will be held at the Hervey Bay Community Centre, Charles St, Pialba, 6.30pm.

Phone Jill on 4128 2095 or the chorus on 0423 314 018.
