Fraser Coast the focus of digital tourism campaign
OUR beautiful Fraser Coast is being plugged Australia-wide with a new digital marketing campaign highlighting the region's natural beauty.
Tourism and Events Queensland chief executive Leanne Coddington said the Fraser Coast summer campaign was about showing the diversity of big nature experiences, outside of the whale watching season and encouraging travellers to visit the Fraser Coast this summer and stay longer.
Fraser Coast Opportunities general manger David Spear said it was pleasing to work in partnership with TEQ and industry to continue the success in leveraging off key social media channels and digital marketing.
"There is no doubt that social media is the key tool in today's digital space," he said.
Queensland Tourism Minister Jann Stuckey said visitation to the Fraser Coast remained solid, with 382,000 international and domestic holiday makers visiting the region in the year to June 2014.
