Free family Easter party
A FREE family event to celebrate Easter will be held at Scarness Park this Saturday, thanks to Fraser Coast Artslink.
President Josie Street said the team had organised live entertainment, free face painting and workshops, markets stalls and a surprise visitor for the children.
"There'll be live entertainment on the stage, there will be rides, there will be free face painting and free workshops for the children," she said.
"The Easter bunny will be coming some time to give the children a surprise.
"The face painters are always happy to do just a couple of little designs for the kids so that hopefully every child who wants to get done, will get done.
"There'll be a jumping castle, a Ferris wheel, there'll be a little piggy train and a climbing rock wall."

For those who want to give chocolate a miss this Easter, Josie said they had enlisted a variety of market stalls to attend. "There will be a variety of stalls, we've tried to keep it as much handmade as possible," she said.
"We try to put a little something on for everybody."

Josie said Fraser Coast Artslink hold three main events throughout the year with the aim of bringing the community together.
"We like to get the community involved, we like to let them know what Artslink is about," she said.
"We encourage the visual and performing artists to help each other out and encourage each other and advertise.
"Get the word out there as to who's around and what they're doing."
