Great night for Fraser Coast football clubs

FOOTBALL: Three of the Fraser Coast's four Wide Bay Premier League teams tasted victory on the region's most successful weekend of the season.

Doon Villa, Sunbury and KSS Jets all walked away with three competition points.

Doon Villa's 3-1 win at home heaped pressure on Across The Waves, who now must win its last-round clash with league leaders Bingera to qualify for the finals.

Sunbury earned a 2-1 win, its fifth of the season, against United Park Eagles at Bundaberg's Martens Oval.

The win allows the Blues to jump to sixth on the ladder.

KSS Jets secured its first win of the season - and the right to paint Hervey Bay red - when they beat United Warriors 3-2 at Hervey Bay Sports Club.

The Jets and Warriors remain locked on five points on the bottom of the table.
