Hauritz to share his spin secrets with young tweakers
CRICKET: Former Australian Test spinner Nathan Hauritz will put young Queensland tweakers in a spin during an upcoming, week-long road trip down the east coast.
Hauritz will host coach and player development sessions in four Queensland cities, starting at Mackay on Saturday.
He will move on to Townsville from July 1-2, before returning to his hometown of Hervey Bay on July 3-4, where he will make presentations about up to date philosophies, tactics and trends specific to spin bowlers across the various formats.
He will finish his tour at the Sunshine Coast on July 5.
Hauritz, 36, took 63 wickets in 17 Tests for Australia, at an average of 34.98, and 63 wickets in 58 One Day Internationals at 34.15. He took two wickets in three Twenty20 Internationals (23.5).
The right arm off-break bowler played state cricket for New South Wales and Queensland, as well as appearances in the Big Bash League for Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades.
