HBNA GF: Represent Breakaways with pride

BREAKAWAYS: The result will not dictate how the Titans remember its 2018 season.

The Division 1 team has lost three games this year, and will today face healthy rivals Bullets Boscia in the grand final.

Coach Soraya Dredge's last message at training was not centred on again bringing Div 1 premiership glory to the club, which they did last year after a heart-stopping three-point win against Bullets. Instead, it was on the enjoyment of netball and the opportunity to sign off on this successful season with another fun day out on court.

"It's not about winning, but it's representing the club with pride,” she said.

"The expectation can be that you should be there, but anyone can win on the day.

"Hopefully we can put on a good show.”

Dredge said her team would not be disadvantaged by playing the preliminary final. They won the minor premiership with a three-win buffer to the second-placed Bullets Boscia, and won three of the five regular season games between the pair.

Breakaways has an average winning margin of 6.67 points in those games.
