Helicopter plucks Gundiah woman from home isolated by floods
A GUNDIAH woman isolated by floodwaters and suffering breathing complications was airlifted to Maryborough Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
A road ambulance was unable to reach the 56-year-old after localised flooding cut roads to her home.
The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter landed at her property about 3.30pm and a flight paramedic treated and stabilised the woman.
She was then airlifted to Maryborough airfield in a stable condition, where a road ambulance then transported her to Maryborough Hospital.
