Forums to help to resolve flood insurance issues
FLOOD-affected businesses and farmers having trouble with insurance claims can attend forums with representatives from the Insurance Council of Australia and the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The forums will be hosted by Fraser Coast Regional Council at Maryborough City Hall on Thursday from 1pm-3pm and from 6pm-8pm.
A council representative said the forum could help people having difficulties or who were in dispute with their insurance company over flood-related claims.
"I urge businesses and residents who are having difficulties with their insurance companies to attend the forums," Fraser Coast Regional Council small business portfolio councillor Chris Loft said.
"The seminars are free."
The forums are also open to flood-affected residents.
Phone the council on 1300 794 929 to secure a spot at the forum.
