Hervey Bay trio named in Triathlon Queensland's U16s squad

TRIATHLON: Three of Hervey Bay's brightest up and coming triathletes have been rewarded for their form with selection in 2018-19 Triathlon Queensland's under-16s squad.

Hervey Bay Triathlon Club duo Toby Powers and Col Curry and B Mee Multisports' Harry King were among the 15 athletes named in the team.

Earlier this year, King was the only Hervey Bay athlete to earn selection in the Queensland School Sport triathlon team for the national championships.

Powers missed out by just one spot at the same event. Curry made Cycling Queensland's U17s team for the National Road Race Championships.

A total of 48 athletes were named in the squad released Wednesday, ranging from U14s to U23s.
