New hospital will give the public a peek this weekend
ST STEPHEN'S Hospital will give the public its first sneak peek at the new facility on Saturday, ahead of its October 13 opening.
A 15-minute tour will start at the main entrance of the hospital, where visitors sign up, and make their way down the ward and rooms.
Visitors will then be shown the room entertainment system, learn more about its ehealth technology and meet staff and ask questions regarding the hospital.
St Stephen's Hospital general manager Deb Boyd said the event would provide a great opportunity for the community to see Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital in a regional area.
Public viewing is open from 2-4pm at 1-11 Medical Place, Hervey Bay.
Groups of 10 at a time will be taken inside the hospital premise for the tour.
