Kids find fun at the Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic

THEY might have been in dispute about the size of the fish but there were no such arguments about the incredible amount of fun at this year's Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic.

Kate Schouten, 3, was one of the many youngsters who were at the event with their families, and unlike some of her more seasoned rivals, the cheeky angler managed to land a big whiting.

However there was some dispute about the fish's true size, with her brother indicating it might not have been as big as Kate's imagination had her believe.

In all, thousands of people turned out across the three days for the 22nd birthday celebration of the popular competition.

And organisers of the event wasted no time in declaring the Classic of 2013 a success.
