Kind soul Ian wants to give away wheelchair

SINCE moving to Hervey Bay in 2009, Ian Dinte has given hundreds of gifts to strangers and today he'd like to give away a special wheelchair.

The character man bought a small adult tilt wheelchair from the Op shop and wants to give it to someone who needs it.

"When I bought it, I gave it to a lady who needed it but she has since moved and doesn't need it now, he said.

Mr Dinte, who has worked tirelessly to raise funds for special schools in Hervey Bay and Maryborough for the past four years, retired from fundraising this year but continues to help people with special needs.

"I have an autistic grandson in Brisbane and raising money for special schools is something very close to my heart," he said.
