LETTER: Pialba's heritage buildings hold great significance

LETTER TO EDITOR: I am very disappointed that the council would even be considering the removal of the Pialba Railway Station and Pialba Memorial Hall from Freedom Park.

Hervey Bay has precious little heritage buildings and these two are just about our oldest and most important.

These heritage buildings hold great significance for Hervey Bay and in particular for veterans.

They are both more than a century old.

At least we have one councillor in George Seymour who is willing to stand up for the heritage and cultural identity of Hervey Bay.

I just wish he had a few like-minded souls there with him.
