Man flown to hospital after fall from popular track
A man who suffered injuries after falling about 2m from a popular Glass House Mountains walking track was flown to hospital last night.
Emergency services rushed to Mt Ngungun about 6.30pm on Sunday after the man in his 50s fell.
Three fire crews and SES volunteers were on scene to help locate the climber and winch him off the mountain.
He was safely removed about 8.30pm after suffering a head laceration, and crews left the scene about 9pm.
The man was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
