Man inside when house fire started in West Mackay

A FIRE broke out at a house at Mogford Street in West Mackay overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about midnight.

It is believed a 20-year-old male was inside the home when the fire started.

He declined to be transported to hospital and was assessed at the scene.
