Man suffering burns airlifted from Fraser Island
THE Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Happy Valley, Fraser Island at 6.40pm last night to airlift a man in his 40s suffering burns.
It's believed the man walked across an area of sand which had been previously heated from cooking equipment causing injury to his feet.
A rotisserie oven had been used for roasting in the same area and was moved to another location shortly before the man came into contact with the heated surface.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital in a stable condition.
