M'boro West markets now held on the fifth Sunday too

MARYBOROUGH West's Sunday markets have now included the fifth Sunday of the month into their calendar.

The Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary holds a Country Market on the third Sunday of each month.

Organisers Helen and Lester Down said it was exciting to add another market.

"This fifth Sunday market will only happen four times this year," Mrs Lester said.

"We are hoping to make them as special events with displays and demonstrations from community groups and organisations like the region's car clubs."

The first fifth Sunday Country Market will be on March 29 from 7am-noon.

There will be kids activities, fresh produce, barbecue breakfast, bush doughnuts, plants, bric-a-brac and more.

Cost is a gold coin donation which includes free entry into the Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can pet a snake, kiss a camel or laugh with the kookaburras - at 79 Mungar Rd, Maryborough West.
