Athletes flock to Maryborough for Master's Games

MASTERS athletes have already started to flock to Maryborough ahead of Sunday's official start to the Master's Games.

The SSAA Lever Action Silhouette at the Churchill Mines Road Range will be the first official event of the Maryborough Masters Games, which will run until October 11.

The following weekend (October 3-4) will arguably be the bigger days of the event.

Point Lookout will host croquet, Granville's Federation Park Field will host football, athletics will be held at Tinana Oval on the 3rd and eight-ball snooker at a yet-to-be-advised venue.

The final weekend will be Maryborough Aquatic Centre's time to shine as swimmers take to the pool.

Fraser Coast Runners and Walkers will host distance events at Ululah on the same day, while pistol and rifle shooters will make the trip to Childers for their event.

Tiaro's Netherby Range will host the cowboy and cowgirl shooting events.
