M'boro to get $813,000 to help fix black spots
THREE road upgrade projects in Maryborough will benefit from $813,000 in funding from the Federal Government's road Black Spots program, Federal Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss says.
"They include additional signs, line marking and road widening improvements and the installation of roadside barriers and guide posts on Yerra Rd, between Mungar Rd and Pilerwa Lane, as well as on Pilerwa Rd, between Yerra and Mungar Rds," he said.
"On Lennox and Albert Sts in Maryborough, route calming improvements will be rolled out, including centre median lighting, extra signs and splitter islands.
"This funding is part of a $500 million commitment over five years to the Black Spot program in the 2014 Federal Budget.
"In Queensland, this funding will provide $33 million to eliminate 83 Black Spot projects across the State.
