UPDATE: Missing Bay man found after desperate search
A MAN, who was reported missing from a respite centre on Monday afternoon has been found - 5kms from where he was last seen.
Wally's family had issued a call for help and hundreds of locals shared the post and joined in the search effort.
As it turned out, he had walked all the way to the Urangan Pier and was found about 4.20pm.
His daughter Tenielle thanked everyone for their help.
A FAMILY is desperately searching for a loved one with dementia who has ventured from a Hervey Bay respite centre.
Wally (pictured) is understood to have left the centre at Exeter St, Torquay about 1.37pm.
His daughter, Tenielle Dunne, says he is wearing a medical bracelet, pale blue chequered shirt and beige pants.
Due to his condition, he is unable to speak.
