More than 100 gather for memorial dedication at M'boro RSL

MORE than 100 people have gathered at the Maryborough RSL for the dedication of a new memorial garden to remember servicemen and women in all conflicts.

The garden incorporates a centrepiece from the original Lone Pine, a large mural and a relaxed sitting area.

RSL bartender Reece Hallam created the mural and was pleased when it was installed.

"There's not many words to describe it and it's an absolute honour," he said.

"They made it larger when they've printed and it looks great."

Maryborough RSL president Bob Evans was also awarded lifetime membership of the national RSL at the service lunch.
