Nicole Kidman poses in racy red swimsuit at 50
NICOLE KIDMAN has posed for a magazine cover in a revealing one-piece red swimsuit, admitting the pictures were too "crazy" to publish.
"I thought about this shoot afterwards. I was like, "what was I doing? I lost my mind! How are the shots? Do they look crazy?" Nicole is quoted as saying on the magazine's Instagram.
The revealing one-piece had crisscross lacing going up the front and she teams it with a cowboy hat.
Kidman and her Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon will be facing off against each other in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie category at the upcoming Emmys.
Kidman's Big Little Lies is up for 16 nominations all up and the HBO show faces off with Geoffrey Rush's Genius in the best limited series category.
Kidman's acting career is currently on a hot streak, with her new movie The Beguiled also out this week.
New York-based Stacey Battat, the costume designer for Kidman and her co-stars including Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning in Sofia Coppola's The Beguiled, told News Corp Australia she was "the ideal person to dress".
"She's such a beautiful, tall statuesque woman. She looks great in everything. She was a real trooper, she was happy to wear corsets. She's got a great idea about how clothes fit and she was super helpful during the process," she said.
Kidman recently said she could easily have won a series of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, because she would not mind eating witchetty grubs.
The star spoke to the Press Association about her latest venture and "co-stars", meerkats Sergei and Aleksandr. She has taken over the reins from fellow Hollywood A-lister Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in the new advert for comparethemarket.com.
She joked: "As you'll see in the ad, my preference is Sergei. He's much cuter! And I'd have to say Alexsandr has been a bit of a diva, which is no surprise given his fame in the UK." Kidman revealed they had not yet tried to get her to eat any grubs but added: "No, but because I'm Australian we're used to that kind of thing and I've even been known to try a witchetty grub ... see I could've gone on I'm a Celebrity and won it! I wouldn't have to be bribed or anything. I'd be happy to eat the witchetty grubs!"
The 40-second advert sees some fur flying as Kidman arrives at Aleksandr's house to take his meerkat pal Sergei on a date to the movies.
Sneaky Sergei uses his Meerkat Movies 2 for 1 cinema tickets to take Kidman on the date, leaving Aleksandr outraged.
