One injured in wet weather crash on Coast

UPDATE 8.30am:

One passenger has been rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition after a wet weather smash in Diddillibah.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the patient who was earlier trapped in their vehicle was freed and assessed by paramedics.

She said it appeared the patient was an elderly woman.

The injured woman reportedly suffered back, pelvis and chest pain.

She was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.

EARLIER:

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle crash where crews are cutting the door off a car.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the corner of Diddillibah Rd and Petrie Creek Rd in Diddillibah about 7.25am.

She said two patients were being assessed by paramedics, with one passenger appearing to be trapped in the vehicle.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two fire crews were on scene using hydraulic cutting equipment to free the passenger.
