OUR SAY: There are definite winners in this year's budget

EVERY little bit helps.

The State Budget that was released on Tuesday afternoon is definitely nothing to sneeze at, but should we be getting more?

When our team of journalists hit the streets to talk to Fraser Coast residents about what they wanted to see more we got a glimpse.

Create more jobs, better health facilities and fix our roads.

The Fraser Coast is definitely getting better roads with $3.8 million set aside in 2016-2017 to continue widening a section of the Bruce Hwy, 1km south of Torbanlea and the $1.1 million for the infamous Hervey Bay Rd/Urraween Rd intersection.

The Heritage City has something to smile about today as the State Government has pledged just shy of $100,000 towards the enhancement of tourism and the Maryborough Story Trail.

Upon my visit to Maryborough yesterday, I have to say more works done on promoting the city's history can only mean good things for the future of the city.

We want to hear from our readers on their thoughts of the 2016-2017 State Budget.

Are you happy with the result for the Fraser Coast or do you think there is an area that needs more attention from the Queensland Government?
