One person has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Currimundi overnight.

A Queensland Ambulance Service representative said paramedics were called to the vehicle and pedestrian incident at Bellara Dr just after midnight.

The patient was in a stable condition and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.
