Patchy rain dampens Fraser Coast over weekend
OVER the weekend, parts of the Fraser Coast have received more than 60mm of rain.
The patchy showers on Saturday and Sunday may have been a slight inconvenience to the on-going Tech Challenge, but the combination of rain and sunshine has been welcomed by many keen gardeners around the region.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Hervey Bay has received the most rain between Saturday and Sunday, with 61mm falling near the Urraween area.
Maryborough has received about 15 mm, and Tiaro getting a downpour of 56mm.
Out near Musket Flat, heading towards Biggenden, the area soaked up less than 20mm.
The patchy rain is expected to continue this week, with temperatures warming up.
Maryborough is predicted to reach tops of 29 degrees by Friday, with Hervey Bay staying a bit cooler with top temps of about 26 degrees.
