Pre-poll voting opens for council elections

THE first votes of the 2016 Fraser Coast Regional Council election have been cast.

Pre-poll voting opened at 9am on Monday, with candidates and their volunteers ready to hand out how to vote cards.

Electors will be able to cast their vote, every weekday from 9am to 5pm until March 18.

On Friday, March 18 voting is open until 6pm.

Election day is on Saturday, March 19.

To cast a pre-poll vote go to the Hervey Bay Library, the Brolga Theatre, the Tiaro Library or the electoral commission office in Central Plaza One near Cash Converters.
