Pressure mounts on Rodgers after Liverpool beaten
SOCCEROOS captain Mile Jedinak has heaped more pain on Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, scoring from a free kick in Crystal Palace's 3-1 win against the Reds at Selhurst Park.
After finishing second in the Premier League last season, Liverpool is now 12th with just four wins from its opening 12 games of the 2014-15 season, its worst start since 1992-93.
Asked whether he was feeling the pressure, Rodgers said: "I'm not arrogant enough to think that I will be in a job through anything.
"Any manager will tell you that you have to win games and you have to get results, especially after how we've been developing as a football club."
Liverpool has the chance to turn its form around in the next three weeks when it takes on Stoke, Leicester City and Sunderland.
Tottenham jumped two places to 10th after beating Hull 2-1.
