Preview of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder
THIS beautiful 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder spotted driving through North Lakes in south-east Queensland.
Behind the two seats sits a raging 5.2-litre, 40 valve V10 engine which can produce up to 418 kilowatts (560 horsepower) at 8000rpm and 538 Newton metres of torque (397 pound-feet of torque) at 6500rpm.
This power then goes through a six-speed automated manual transmission that sends the power to all-four wheels.
All of this allows the 2010 Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder to launch from 0-100 kilometres per hour in just four seconds flat, and it will keep accelerating until it reaches its top speed of 324 kilometres per hour (201 miles per hour), with the top down.
Lamborghini first introduced the Gallardo model in 2003 as an all-new car. It was designed to be a cheaper alternative to the Murcielago model, and it was set to compete with the Ferrari 360.
When it was first released, it had a 5.0-litre V10 with 373 kilowatts (500 horsepower), which was 75 kilowatts (100 horsepower) more than the Ferrari 360.
At the 2008 Geneva Motor Show Lamborghini launched the LP560-4 as the facelifed version of the Gallardo, and new features included updated headlights and taillights, new front and rear bumpers, a larger and more powerful engine and much more.
The Lamborghini Gallardo has now become the most popular Lamborghini ever, with over 10,000 cars built in its first seven years of production (2003-2010). Lamborghini will be replacing the Gallardo in the next year, and it will have an all-new body, a more powerful engine and much more.
Some other features that this particular Lamborghini is equipped with includes Nero Serapis metallic paint, a black power convertible roof, variable intermittent wipers, 19-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in performance tyres, four-wheel ABS as well as traction and stability control, Xenon headlights as well as daytime running LED's, seatbelt pretensioners, electronic brake force distribution, double wishbone front and rear suspension, a red leather interior, dual-zone climate controls for the driver and passenger and much more.
You can currently buy a 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder for about $330,000.
