Quota members happy to provide community spot

THE women of Quota are proud of a park being named in their honour at Bell Hilltop at Maryborough.

Past president Roslyn Christensen said it was wonderful to have some-where practical for the community to enjoy with families and friends.

"We tried to get it in time for our birthday, July last year, but it takes a while to get everything done," Mrs Christensen said.

"There's still more to come.

"Shelter sheds, tables and chairs and more play things for the children will be installed down the track."

Mrs Christensen said the Fraser Coast Regional Council was supportive of the project on Sprake Dr.

The Quota Club of Maryborough International celebrated 50 years of service to the area last year.
