Seafood goes on show
FRASER Coast seafood will be showcased to chefs south of the border, with a special event hosted by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
Queensland's top primary producers, including Hervey Bay's The Australian Ocean King Prawn Company, will visit Sydney to tempt chefs, restaurateurs, distributors and other food opinion leaders.
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry John McVeigh said the event would highlight Queensland's growing array of quality food products.
"With a value chain worth $18.7 billion and supporting 267,000 jobs, our food industry is integral to the state's economy," he said.
