Second man arrested after allegedly robbing prostitute

A SECOND man has been arrested over the violent robbery of a 64-year-old sex worker on the Hervey Bay Esplanade.

The woman was in her Torquay motel room, awaiting the arrival of a man who had falsely arranged her services, when two offenders allegedly burst into the room earlier this week.

Police will allege the men grabbed her throat, held her down and demanded to know where her money was before fleeing with a sum of cash.

Recently released prisoner Duddley Waterton was arrested on Monday night and charged with enter with intent and robbery.

His parole was revoked.

A man in his 20s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested late on Tuesday and charged with the same offences.

He was remanded in custody and is due to front court in Hervey Bay on Thursday.
