Sunny days expected ahead of possible weekend rain
FINE weather is expected on the Fraser Coast in the coming days, with the possibility of showers or a thunderstorm at the weekend.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Michael Paech said winds would ease off with plenty of sunshine around the Fraser Coast ahead of the weekend.
Temperatures would be in the low 30s in both Maryborough and Hervey Bay in the next few days.
"We're seeing a run of very similar weather patterns," Mr Paech said.
While weather was expected to mainly be fine, that could change at the weekend, when isolated showers were possible.
A thunderstorm was also forecast, but it was unclear if it would hit coastal areas on the Fraser Coast.
Mr Paech said current forecasts showed the storm hitting inland areas, particularly near Gayndah, but it could end up hitting closer to the coast.
Meanwhile river levels on the Mary River at Miva, Tiaro and in Maryborough fell below the minor flood level early yesterday morning after rising after Cyclone Marcia.
