Hervey Bay swap meet will have loads of bargains

BEEF jerky, sexy socks, 12-volt solar systems and gas struts will be among the more unusual items on sale at Hervey Bay State High School's annual swap meet this Saturday.

However if those things don't float your boat, there's bound to be something that will, among the books, collectables, antiques, clothes, car parts, furniture, bric-a-brac and fruit and veg bargains that will be on sale.

More than 200 stallholders will be selling their wares at the school P&C fundraiser, which is aiming to raise $15,000 towards improving classroom facilities and providing outdoor shade and seating.

The PE department will also be raffling off a signed Queensland rugby league jersey.

For the kids, there will be a jumping castle and a super slide.
