Curious case of cuttlefish backbone in fuel tank

Eli Waters - wilful damage

Between 12.01am on July 18 and 11.59pm on July 20 an unknown offender has entered a bedroom in a home on Earl St Vincent Cct, and taken car keys from a bedside table. 

The offender has then gone to the driveway and opened the bonnet of a red Toyota Corolla. 

The offender has then opened the oil fill cap and poured an unknown fluid into the engine before opening the fuel cap and placing a cuttlefish backbone into the fuel tank.

Torquay - burglary

Thieves have attempted to break into a home on Torquay Terrace.

Between 8 and 10.30pm on August 22 unknown offenders have used an unknown implement in an attempt to jemmy open a front security door. Entry was not gained to the home.

Torbanlea - burglary, break-in

An Oztrail swag and Golf clubs have been stolen from a home in Robertson St.

Between 9.30pm on August 24, and 10am on August 25 unknown offenders have attended the home and gained entry to a small room underneath the house which was unlocked.

Aramara - unlawful entry

Thieves targeted a Toyota Hilux that was broken down on the side of the road.

Between 10am on August 23 and 9.45am on August 25 unknown offenders have gained entry to a locked Toyota Hilux with Queensland registration plates 140FQS.

The car had broken down on the side of the Maryborough-Biggenden Rd.

The vehicle has a custom tray, bullbar and side rails.

Maryborough - stealing/enter with intent

Police are urging residents to remember to lock their cars after a Landcruiser was broken into on Sussex St.

Between 6.30 and 7.35pm on August 25 unknown offenders have approached a home in Sussex St where a blue Toyota Landcruiser was parked in the garage port.

Offenders have entered the unlocked vehicle via the front passenger door, rummaged through the glove box and removed a wallet.

Torquay - stealing from/enter vehicles with intent

A Bosch jackhammer has been taken from a locked car on Freshwater St.

Between 7pm on August 25 and 6am on August 26 unknown offenders have approached a locked white 2011 Holden Colorado dual cab ute, with a box trailer with lockable and secured tradesman top.

The vehicle was parked opposite the rear driveway of the Riviera Resort on Freshwater St, Torquay. Unknown offenders have pulled back the tonneau and remove the Bosch jackhammer.
