The Block's Jason and Sarah told they must deliver next week or they'll be kicked off the show
A COUPLE made history on The Block this week for the being the first contestants to score three zeroes.
Jason and Sarah were slammed by the judges and show host Scotty Cam for "giving up" on their master bedroom, walk-in robe and ensuite challenge, and leaving the judges to discover a barely touched shell of a room.
At the end of the night they were told they have to deliver their unfinished rooms from this week, on top of next week's room challenge by tools down on Sunday or they will be booted off the show.
Those who earned the highest praise for their rooms tonight were Josh and Elyse who won the $10,000 on offer by by half-a-point.
Jason and Sarah

"You need to go hard or go home, and yes Jason and Sarah I am talking to you guys when I say that," Scotty Cam told the couple before judging began.
"You are on this series because you said a number of times, 'we have an attitude of never give up,' and that's exactly what you did this week."
But Jason wasn't prepared to take the criticism quietly.
"I don't agree at all," he said.
"I'd definitely say we didn't give up, and I'm a bit offended you would say that Scotty".
The judges were rendered speechless when they entered the space; Neale Whitaker ushering "Wow," while Darren Palmer thought "WTF" was a more appropriate reaction.
"What on earth have they done for a week?" Shaynna Blaze questioned before pointing out neither Jason or Sarah would have been responsible for the cabinets and window installation that had been done.
"We've had people throw in the towel before but that's only the night before when they can't finish the painting," she said.
"And we've had couples who've had issues and knew they weren't going to win but still set up the room to say, 'this is what it's going to be like'."

"It's a bit of a slap in the face really," Darren said.
"They've been given a golden opportunity, a life changing opportunity.
"To just get that opportunity, curl it up in a ball and throw it over your shoulder is an insult, really".
Shayna agreed.
"It just shows lack of effort and arrogance to think this is how they think that they can present a room on room reveal day," she said.
"There's not even an apology here, so you know what, I have no sympathy whatsoever."
Hannah and Clint

After the first disastrous room reveal, it was Hannah and Clint's turn for their efforts to be put under the microscope.
As the judges walked in they were pleased to see it in much better state the Jason and Sarah's and Shaynna dubbed it a "pretty room".
The trio was full of praise for the floral wallpaper behind the bedhead.
"It kind of demonstrates immediately the interesting shape of this room but it also for me really creates a sense of romance in here," Neale said.
However a lack of floor-to-ceiling curtains proved a downfall and Shaynna said you would be waking up at the crack of dawn from light flooding through the top angular windows.
Darren loved the chandelier but didn't think it tied in with the room and instead just drew attention to poor paintwork on the ceiling.

In the walk-in robe Shaynna and Darren were excited about the central island unit of drawers. But Neale just thought the walk-in robe was "okay".
As for the ensuite, Shannya commented about the high-end fittings including the showerhead and Darren praised the vanity and mirrors but again, Neale was not so enthused.
"I wish it wasn't all chrome," he said of the tapware.
"I wish they had chosen brass or black because it would have felt so much more luxurious and so much more contemporary.
"To me, this feels cheap."

Darren noted that the couple hadn't finished everything completely.
"It just goes to show that it must have been a very hard week but everybody didn't have to throw in the towel," he said.
Ronnie and Georgia

After a stressful week and involving a arguments with their Block neighbours, and a rush to the finish, Ronnie and Georgia impressed the judges with their unique take on the space.
Their impression was first formed by taking in the dramatic hallway.
"This is very cool," Neale said.
"It's like being in a hotel already."
The couple impressed Shaynna with the colour palette and the artwork, though Neale thought the subject of the painting needed a good feed.
The trio was also impressed by the pull-out TV.
"I absolutely love how this couple think outside the box," Shaynna said.
They let themselves down by not including enough power points but redeemed themselves in the walk-in wardrobe which features a make-up area with marble-top bench which Shaynna loved.

In the ensuite, judges were impressed with the size of the room and the inclusion of a bath, double shower and double vanity.
"Beyond luxurious," Shaynna said.
"It's exactly the bathroom that goes with that bedroom," Neale said.

There was also a bit of a buzz about the remote-controlled smart toilet which warms and washes your bottom.
Sticks and Wombat

Next up was Sticks and Wombat who'd had an interrupted week after Sticks had to go back home to be with his wife Terry who was due to have a baby.
Wombat got the room finished, albeit without the window coverings which was the first thing mentioned.
"I think this is a really lovely room, there's something really charming about it but it's not because of the styling in here. The styling is actually really ordinary," Neale said.
Shaynna said she thought the room looked more like a guest bedroom and wasn't keen on the artwork.
But the pair was praised for their execution of the work, especially the paint job, and the positivity continued in the wardrobe.

"It's so elegant," Shaynna said.
"I can't fault this. This is a beautiful walk-in wardrobe," Neale said.
As for the ensuite, Neale, Darren and Shaynna were all impressed.

"I like this in that you want this ideal loftiness and space above you when you're showing, especially in a shower that's that grand with that many showerheads," Darren said.
"This matches the wardrobe, and to me they just have to restyle the bedroom," Shaynna said.
Josh and Elyse

The final couple to face the music on the night were Josh and Elyse who won the judges over early with the chandelier over the stairs.
"It's absolutely stunning. I love the render, I love the double curtains, I love the fact they've actually solved the problem of full blockout," Shaynna said.
While they thought the room was beautiful and grand, they were worried about a lack of privacy as there was no door.
Shannya wasn't keen on the couches facing the TV and Neale didn't think Josh's artwork was right for the space.

In the walk-in robe, Neale was a fan of the mirror while Darren and Shaynna were impressed with the display shelves.
"It's a contemporary take on a traditional style," Darren said.
The couple also received high praise for the ensuite.
"This is va-va voom," Darren said.
"This is the best tile choice of the day, without a doubt," Neale said.

"It's not grand, Ronnie and Georgia's is a lot bigger, but this still feels very beautiful," Shaynna said.
"If I could choose just one bathroom to have a bath in today, it would be this one," Neale said.
Once the critiques had been delivered, it was time for the scores and the judges would not be kind to Jason and Sarah.
